Trade Admire Group Participates in CII Session on Data Governance & DPDP Framework
Mumbai, August 2026 — Trade Admire Group (TAG) participated in the ‘Session on Data Governance & Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Framework’ organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on 26 August 2026 at Rooftop Rendezvous, The Taj Mahal Palace, Colaba, Mumbai.
The session brought together board members, independent directors, CXOs, key managerial personnel, general counsels, and legal, governance and compliance professionals to deliberate on the strategic implications of the Digital Personal Data Protection framework for businesses.
From Compliance to Boardroom Governance
The discussion reflected an important shift in how organisations are approaching data protection. DPDP is increasingly being considered not only as a compliance responsibility, but as a broader boardroom and governance priority connected with risk oversight, cybersecurity resilience, responsible technology adoption, stakeholder trust and digital transformation.
The session focused on key areas including Strategic Privacy Governance and Board Oversight, Decision-Making and Investment Priorities, Emerging Data Risks and Horizon Scanning, Strengthening Trust through Responsible Data Governance, and Operationalising DPDP Compliance.
India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, 2025 establish a structured framework for the responsible processing of digital personal data. The Rules were notified on 14 November 2025 and provide for a phased timeline for the commencement of different provisions.

Strategic Insights for Trade Admire Group
For Trade Admire Group, the CII session provided an opportunity to examine data governance from a broader business, governance and institutional perspective.
The insights gained are being evaluated as part of TAG’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its internal governance framework and organisational capabilities, with particular attention to responsibility, transparency, accountability and long-term resilience.
TAG views governance as more than a regulatory requirement. Effective governance is an important organisational capability that can support customer confidence, stakeholder trust, operational accountability and sustainable business growth.
“In the digital era, data privacy cannot be viewed solely as a legal responsibility. It is an important business capability for building long-term trust with customers, partners and global business networks. Strong governance provides the foundation for that trust.”
— Amitkumar Bote, Founder & Global Business Strategist, Trade Admire Group
Why Data Governance Matters to TAG’s Global Vision
For an organisation developing cross-border business relationships and partnerships, responsible data governance is closely connected with business credibility and institutional trust.
Customer information, partner interactions and ecosystem relationships require appropriate responsibilities, structured processes and transparent practices. TAG therefore views data governance as part of creating a trusted business environment in which customers, partners and stakeholders can engage with greater confidence.
This perspective becomes increasingly relevant as businesses operate across markets, digital platforms and interconnected partner ecosystems.
TAG’s Governance Focus Areas
Insights from the CII session are being considered across four broad areas:
• Data Responsibility — strengthening awareness of responsible information handling, ownership and governance.
• Customer Trust & Transparency — supporting greater clarity and transparency in customer and stakeholder interactions.
• Operational Accountability — strengthening defined responsibilities, documented processes and appropriate internal oversight.
• Long-Term Sustainability — aligning governance thinking with organisational resilience and sustainable business growth.
These areas represent TAG’s evolving governance priorities and organisational development focus, rather than a statement of completed compliance, certification or regulatory alignment.
Building Trust Through Stronger Governance
For Trade Admire Group, strong governance is not simply an administrative layer. It forms an important foundation for institutional credibility, responsible decision-making, stakeholder confidence and long-term organisational resilience.
As TAG continues to develop its global business ecosystem, the Group recognises that sustainable growth requires not only commercial capability, but also organisational systems and practices that support accountability, transparency and trust.
Looking Ahead — Governance as a Business Enabler
Engagement with industry platforms such as CII enables Trade Admire Group to understand evolving policy, regulatory and business perspectives and consider how relevant insights can contribute to organisational learning and capability development.
For TAG, the objective is not simply to respond to changing regulatory expectations. It is to continuously evaluate and strengthen the organisational systems, governance practices and leadership capabilities that support responsible business growth and lasting stakeholder confidence.
As Trade Admire Group continues to build cross-border partnerships and develop its global business ecosystem, governance will remain an important enabler of credibility, trust, resilience and sustainable growth.
TAG’s Data Governance Priorities
Responsible Data Stewardship — A continued focus on responsible handling, ownership and governance of information across relevant business interactions.
Structured Accountability — Developing clearer responsibilities, processes and governance practices across appropriate organisational functions.
Ecosystem Trust — Considering data privacy and responsible information practices as important elements of customer, partner and cross-border business relationships.
